William Albert Johnson Jr.

YANCEYVILLE, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Mr. William Albert Johnson, Jr., 73, of 307 Wall Street, Yanceyville, North Carolina, who died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Green Valley Hospital, Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mr. William Albert Johnson, Jr., was born in Rockingham County, North Carolina on December 15, 1947 to the late William Albert Johnson, Sr and Monnie Lea Johnson.

William attended Sassafras Grove Baptist Church for years until he became a member of Solid Rock’s Ark of Safety True Holiness Church of the Apostolic Faith in Yanceyville, North Carolina where he taught Sunday School and was an Ordained Minister.  Later, as William’s health declined he began to go with his loving wife to her church, Bible Way Cathedral, Danville, Virginia.  He was employed with Copeland Fabrics Textile in Burlington, North Carolina until his health declined.

In addition to his parents, Mr. William Albert Johnson, Jr. was preceded in death by two brothers, John Frank and George Johnson.

Mr. William Albert Johnson, Jr leaves to cherish his beloved memories to his: devoted and loving wife, Cynthia D. Johnson, two sons, William A. Johnson, III and Aaron J. Johnson; one daughter, Tracey K. Milton (Greg) of  Burlington, North Carolina.  Additionally, he affectionately leaves, six sisters, Ingretta Totten (Carlton), Apostle Alice Totten, Betty Izetta Thomas (William) and Carole Johnson all of Yanceyville, North Carolina, Annette Spencer of Gibsonville, North Carolina and Margie Johnson of Burlington, North Carolina; six brothers, Quinton Johnson (Mary), Joseph Johnson (Tracey), Vernon Johnson (Diane) and Carl Johnson (Michelle) all of Yanceyville, North Carolina; Larry Johnson (Julie) of Reidsville, North Carolina and James Hunter Johnson (Candy) of Eden, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Brandon Jeffries of Elon, North Carolina, Corey Jeffries of Houston, Texas and Andrea J. Owens (Xavier) of Iwakuni, Japan; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Friday, January 29, 2021 from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time.

(Per CDC Guidelines:  Facial Masks are required).

Funeral Services for Mr. William Albert Johnson, Jr will be Saturday, January 30, 2021, 2:00 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery, Yanceyville, North Carolina.

*Attendance at the funeral will be limited to fifty (50) individuals and attendees will be pre-determined by the family*.
