Danville, VA - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Wanda Farrish of 732 Halifax Rd., Danville, VA, who passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at her residence.
She was a native of Caswell County, NC, the daughter of the late William Albert Farrish Sr. and Ida Mae Graves Dixon Farrish, born July 11, 1959. She was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church and was an employee of Piedmont Mall in Danville, VA and Patrick Henry Mall in Martinsville, VA as a security supervisor.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jane Dixon; two brothers, Harrell Dixon and Dennis Morris Farrish.
Her survivors are six sisters, Betty Carolyn Washington of White Plains, NY, Diane Dixon Gwynn (Robert), Mary Louise Dejournette, Brenda Kaye Hairston all of Ruffin, NC, Debra Farrish Thornton (Kenneth) of Yanceyville, NC and Lucy Marie Farrish Johnson of Waldorf, MD; five brothers, John Farrish (Veronica) of Danville, VA, Walter D. Farrish (Sandy) of Durham, NC, Azzie Mason Farrish (Tina) of Reidsville, NC, Bobby Joe Farrish of Yanceyville, NC and William Albert Farrish Jr. of Reidsville, NC; a devoted friend and companion, Wayne Jones of Danville, VA; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be held on Thursday July 9, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time. Please remember to follow CDC guidelines with everyone wearing protective gloves and masks.
Graveside Service will be Friday, July 10, 2020 11:00 am at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
