Virginia Hazel Willis

Riverdale, MD - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Virginia Hazel Graves Willis formerly of Caswell County, North Carolina, who passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in the Crescent Health Rehabilitation Center, Riverdale, Maryland.

She was the daughter of the late Bass Graves and Jessie Anna Graves, born December 8, 1928 in Caswell County, North Carolina.  

She was a homemaker and married Rev. Jewel Browner and later to Percy Willis who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Alan Randolph Graves, Willie Graves, James Thomas Graves, Lorenza Graves, and Jessie Lee Graves: two sisters, Zelma Lee, and Elizabeth Jeffries.

Her survivors are two sisters, Frances Moore, and Ocie Dell Wright, both of Washington, DC: and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Monday, March 1, 2021 from 4 to 7 p. m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time.

(Per CDC Guidelines: Facial Masks are required).

Funeral Services for Virginia Hazel Graves Willis will be Tuesday, March 2, 2021, 2:00 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Walker will deliver the words of comfort.  Interment will follow in the Graves Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Yanceyville, North Carolina.  (Per CDC Guidelines Facial Mask are required).

*Attendance at the funeral will be limited to fifty (50) individuals and attendees will be pre-determined by the family*.
