Randy Foster Obituary

Providence, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Randy Mark Foster 58, of 4719 Foster Road, Providence, NC, who passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Sovah Health in Danville,VA.

Randy was the son of the late James Edgar Foster and Emma Williamson Foster, born May 7, 1963 in Reidsville, NC.

Randy was baptized at an early age and began his walk with God at Mineral Springs Baptist Church where he learned the importance of prayer and faith in God. He graduated from Bartlett Yancey Senior High School in 1982.

Randy believed in the importance of hard work and began his career after high school at Lawrence Industries. He went on to work at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1995 where he worked for 26 years until his death. He loved his work and often quoted his father by saying, “It is a privilege to work.”

Randy enjoyed nature and was a farmer at heart. He found pleasure and peace walking the farm and embracing the beauty of God’s creations. He had a love for tractors, farm animals, antique cars, Duke basketball, Nascar, and building things from recycled wood. He loved helping anyone in need, and above all, he loved his family.

Randy met and married the love of his life, Terri Badgett Mims. Together they grew in their love and service to the Lord. He had a beautiful smile and a sweet demeanor. Randy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his brother Larry A. Foster. He is survived by his beloved wife Terri D. Foster of Providence, NC, his two daughters Chasity D. Mims of Elon, NC, Kutia D. Mims of Eden, NC, one sister Jacqueline Gail Foster of Wilmington, NC, three brothers James (Vera) Foster of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Michael (Linda) Foster of Durham, NC, Terry (Carolyn) Foster of Yanceyville, NC, two grandsons Laterrian and Landran Russell, three granddaughters Logan and London Russell, and Madison Mims, two nieces LaQuitta (Myron) Hardy, Audrenia (Jeremy) Graham, four nephews Jermaine (Charmeka) Foster, Terry Lynn Foster, Jameson Foster, and Phillip Foster, two great-nieces, six great-nephews, and one great-great niece, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
