Phyllis Ann Long

Eden, NC -It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Phyllis Ann Long of Eden (formerly of Pelham, NC), who departed her earthly life, and passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, for her heavenly home on March 11, 2020.

Phyllis was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a choir member. She was also educated in the Caswell County Public School System, where she graduated in 1975. Phyllis was an employee of Fieldcrest Mills in, Eden, NC as a machine operator prior to her illness.

In addition to her parents Banks and Jane Long, Phyllis being the baby and last of her siblings, was preceded in death by her four sisters, Sheba Long, Christine Doe, Cynthia McGlon, and Jean “Hazel” Watkins; three brothers, Chester Long, Banks “Johnny” Long and James “Timothy” Long; and one niece, Crystal Parsons.

Phyllis Ann Long leaves to cherish her memory to her loving family: seven nieces, Laverne Randolph, Angela Long, Celissa McGlon, Bernadette Watkins, Lawanna Bishop Chavis, Petrina Watkins, and Tamieka Long; six nephews, Kenneth Doe, Kerwin Doe, Wendell C. McGlon Jr., Tavares Long, Lionel Long, and Tyshawn Long; special cousins, Mary L. Motley and  Catherine L. Moore; a brother in law Cleophis Doe; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and other relatives and friends.
