Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Pastor Nannie Farmer, age 76, of 4455 Yarborough Mill Road, Milton, NC; who passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2022; at her residence.
Pastor Nannie Farmer was born in Person County, North Carolina on February 20, 1946; to the late Doc Robert Thompson, Sr.; and Maggie Lucille Thompson.
Pastor Nannie Farmer graduated from Person Senior High School in Roxboro, NC in1969. She continued her education at Person County Community College in Roxboro, NC; where Pastor Nannie Farmer received her Certified Nursing Assistant and Cosmetology license.
Pastor Nannie Farmer worked at the Modern Beauty Shop in Danville, VA for many years.
Pastor Nannie Farmer was a member of Greater United Apostolic Church in Danville, Virginia under the leadership of Bishop Coles. She was previously the “Grace” Pastor of Fresh Anointed Apostolic Tabernacle, Inc in Danville, VA prior to her declining health.
In addition to her parents, Pastor Nannie Farmer was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Mae Thompson; and her brother, Robert Thompson, Jr.
Pastor Nannie Farmer leaves to cherish her memories to her husband Lee Mosby Farmer of the home; one daughter, Tamekia Farmer (Thurman) of Reidsville, NC; five sisters, Queenie McCain (James) of Danville, VA, Peggy Allen of Durham, NC; Frances Barnett (Willie), Barbara Barnett, Stephanie Edwards all of Roxboro, NC; one brother, Terry Wayne Thompson (Yolanda) of Durham, NC; one aunt, Shirley Thompson of Rocky Mount, NC; one grandchild, Travis (Raina) Farmer; two great-grandchildren, Ryasia Farmer and Rylee Farmer; a god-daughter, JaLiylah Walker and god-grandson, Javiyon Jackson both of Danville, VA; other loving relatives, her church family, and many cherished friends.
A viewing for Pastor Nannie Farmer will be Friday, December 09, 2022; from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the John and Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral.
Funeral Services for Pastor Nannie Farmer will be Saturday, December 10, 2022; at 2:00pm at Greater United Apostolic Church, 924 North Main Street, Danville, VA.
Interment will follow at Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Roxboro, NC.
