Pelham, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Ollie Simpson Cobb of 4064 Allison Road Pelham, NC, who passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at her residence.
She was a native of Caswell County, NC, the daughter of the late Palmer Howard Simpson and Nannie Foster Simpson, born January 24, 1923. She was a Member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church, where she was Mother of the church, a member of the choir, missionary circle, and Sunday school secretary.
She was married to Julius Earl Cobb, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Earl Cobb; three brothers, James Palmer Simpson, Thomas Edison Simpson, and John Henry Simpson; two sister, Ruby Cobb and Mildred Phillips.
Her survivors are one son, Dennis Cobb ( Cletus ) of Reidsville, NC; two daughters, Eloise S. Anderson ( Edward ) of Gibsonville, NC and Diana S. Chiles of Pelham, NC; two brothers, Roy Simpson ( Vernell ) of Reidsville, NC and David Simpson of Pelham, NC; six sisters, Marie Mims of Washington, DC, France Riggsbee of Pelham, NC, Erline Simpson of Maryland, Lillie Bell Vailes of Maryland, Hazel Foster of Washington, DC and Jeraldine S. Williamson of Yanceyville, NC; seven grandchildren; one great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.; nieces; nephews; other relatives
A viewing will be Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 2 to 5 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be Friday, December 24, 2021 2:00 PM in the Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Freddie Seabrooks will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow.
