Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Minister Lorene Oliver Long formerly of 125 Long Dr. Yanceyville, NC, who passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in the White Oak Nursing Facility in Burlington, NC.
She was the daughter of the late Lorenzo Oliver and Anna Gertrude Foster Oliver, born September 27, 1941 in Rockingham, County, NC. She was a member of Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an Associate Minister, a member of the choir and the Willing Workers Group.
Minister Lorene Long was employed with Williamsburg Plant before retirement.
She was married to Monroe Long who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lois Long; one great grandson, Davion Brandon; one sister, Jonie Oliver; one brother, Almond Carter Oliver.
Her survivors are two daughter, Angelene L. Lewis (Reverend Sylvester) of Burlington, NC and Sharon Brandon of Maryland; one son, Marc Long of Yanceyville, NC; five sisters, Anna Stone of Yanceyville, NC, Lillian Adams (Jimmie) of Reidsville, NC, Audrey Oliver of Yanceyville, NC, Cathern Seafus of Burlington, NC and Deberal Foster of Plano, Texas; four brothers, Jerry Oliver of Yanceyville, Howard Oliver of Yanceyville, David Oliver of Blanch, NC and Thadius Oliver (Kynog) of Columbus Ga.; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; five sisters-in- law; Gracie Harris of Pelham NC, Jearline Manning of California, Lillian Allen of Brooklyn NY, Sarah Long of Milton NC and Delois Evans of Virginia; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 2 to 7 p. m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time.

Funeral Services for Minister Lorene Oliver Long will be Sunday, February 7, 2021, 1:00 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memoria Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church Yanceyville, North Carolina. (Per CDC Guidelines Facial Mask are required).
*Attendance at the funeral will be limited to fifty (50) individuals and attendees will be pre-determined by the family*.
