Blanch, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Lonnie Johnson of 964 County Home Rd. Blanch, NC, who passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021 in the Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital Richmond, Virginia.
Mr. Lonnie Leon Johnson was born July 13, 1938 in Caswell County, NC to the late Louis H. Johnson and Lemma Fuller Johnson. He was a member of the Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church, Yanceyville, NC where he served as an Usher.
Mr. Lonnie Leon Johnson was a veteran of the United States Army and a retiree of the Dairy Department of Giant Foods Company. He was a member of the High Rock Hunting Club and the Corvette Club.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lonnie Leon Johnson was preceded in death by five brothers, James Johnson, Herman Johnson, Joe Lewis Johnson, Rufus Johnson and David Johnson; five sisters, Queen J. Wilson, Annie J. Lea, Mary J. Bigelow, Helen J. Florence and Julia J. Foster.
Mr. Lonnie Leon Johnson leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Wynolia Jeffries Johnson of the residence; two daughters, Debra Coleman-Mitchell of Temple Hills, MD; Cherrill Covington of Brandywine, MD; two brothers, Otis Johnson (Shirley) of Blanch, NC and Otha Johnson (Yvonne) of Maryland; six sisters-in-law, Emma Johnson, Virginia Johnson, Elizabeth A. Jeffries, Hazel Jeffries, Joan Jeffries, and Sylvia Lou Jeffries; three brothers-in-law, Ackery Foster, Thadas Jeffries (Francina) and Theodore Jeffries; six grandchildren, Charis Johnson, Tinesha Mitchell-Lightfoot, Michelle Littlejohn, Cedrica Mitchell, James Mitchell and Angel Laverne Mitchell; three great- grandchildren, Landon Lightfoot, Elijah Lightfoot, Carter Lightfoot and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Friday, November 5, 2021 from 4 p.m to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Prior to the Funeral Services Family Visitation will be Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00pm. at Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church, Yanceyville, NC.
Funeral Services for Mr. Lonnie Leon Johnson will be Saturday, November 6, 2021 1:00 PM at Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church, Yanceyville, NC. Rev. Everett Dickerson will deliver the words of comfort. Interment will follow in the Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
