Yanceyville, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Leonza Hill of 170 Julia Street, Yanceyville, North Carolina who passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the Brian Center Southpoint in Durham, North Carolina.
He was a native of Caswell County, North Carolina, the son of the late Tom Buck Hill and Louise M. Williamson Hill, born September 30, 1930. He was an Army Veteran and worked as a Certified Water Plant Operator for the City of Yanceyville.
He was a member of Pearson Chapel AME Church where he served as a former Trustee.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Della Hill Samuel; two brothers, Wiley Hill and Walter Thomas Hill.
His survivors are wife, Harlean Bigelow Hill of the home; three daughters, Sharon Hill of Durham, North Carolina, Linda F. Hill of Charlotte, North Carolina and Cynthia R. Hill of Smyrna, Georgia; other relatives and friends.
*Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be held on Saturday , May 30, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time. Please remember to follow CDC guidelines with everyone wearing protective gloves and masks. * Masks are required to enter the building.
Private graveside service and interment will be at Pearson Chapel AME Church Cemetery.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Pearson Chapel AME Church and The Caswell Senior Center.
