Larry Donnell Wharton

Danville, VA. - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Larry Donnell Wharton 65, of  Chatelaine Ave. Danville, VA., who passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 in the SOVAH Health Danville, VA.

Larry was a native of Caswell County, NC, the son of the late Charles Wharton and Violet Ingram Wharton, born May 5, 1956. He was educated in the Caswell County School System and after graduation  he joined the United States  Army, where he received an honorable discharge.

Larry was of the Baptist faith and he was an employee of the City of Yanceyville before retirement.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by five brothers, Lewis Wharton, William Wharton, Harvey, Wharton, William Ruffin and Charles Wharton; two sisters, Debra Johnson and Christine Kelly .

Larry leaves to cherish his memories are wife, Lucille Bass Wharton; two daughters, Regina Totten ( James ) of Yanceyville, NC, and Rolonda Wharton ( Greg Lipscomb ) of Yanceyville, NC; three brothers, Freeman Ingram ( Sandra ) of New Jersey, Barry Ruffin ( Joyce ) and Wayne Wharton all of Danville, VA; one sister, Hattie Cradle of New York; two sisters-in-law, Phyliss Ruffin of Blanch, NC and Geneva Wharton of New York; one aunt Thelma Ingram of Blanch NC;  seven grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Larry Donnell Wharton  will be Friday, December 10, 2021 2:00 PM in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home, Yanceyville, NC. (Facial Masks are required).
