Hattie Pearl Evans Johnson Obituary

Yanceyville, NC – It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mrs. Hattie Pearl Evans Johnson 88, of Old Farm Apts. who passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Liberty Commons of Alamance, Burlington, NC.

Mrs. Hattie Pearl Evans Johnson was born on April 6, 1934 in Caswell County, NC to the late Weldon Evans and Annie Bell Walker Evans. 

Mrs. Hattie Pearl Evans Johnson was a member of Providence Baptist Church.  She was employed for many years at Copland Fabric.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hattie Pearl Evans Johnson was predeceased by her husband, John Allen Johnson; two sisters, Barbara Daniel and Ida Hightower; six brothers, Raymond Evans, Sr., Herman Evans, Hunter Evans, Cornelius Evans, Edgar Evans, and Roy Evans, Sr.   

Mrs. Hattie Pearl Evans Johnson leaves to cherish her beloved memories to five sons; John Michael Johnson (Cindae) of Yanceyville, NC, Ricky Anthony Johnson (Annette), Melvin Ray Johnson (Angela), Timothy Allen Johnson, and Dennis Wayne Johnson all of Burlington, NC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Christine Evans of Yanceyville, NC, and Lottie Mae Clark of Semora, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak:

A viewing will be Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 2 to 7 PM in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Hattie Pearl Evans Johnson will be Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Providence Baptist Church, Yanceyville, NC.  Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Yanceyville, NC.  Reverend Raymond  Jr. Evans will deliver words of comfort.

(Facial Masks are required at all services).
