Durham, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Mr. Everette Jeffries of Durham, NC who passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at the residence of his father on Old Hwy 86 N. Yanceyville, NC.
Everette was the son of Earl Jeffries and the late Diana Slade Jeffries born December 3,1969 in Orange County, NC. He was a member of the Hamer Missionary Baptist Church, Blanch, NC. During his time there he was a former Usher.
Everette was a 1988 graduate of Bartlett Yancey High School. Everette was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; a member of Goodfellas motorcycle club; a 15+ year member of the fraternal order of police; a master police officer; he received officer of the year; he was a grill master; he earned a Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Central University and a Masters of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University.
In addition to his mother Everette was preceded in death by his brother, Huston David Slade.
He leaves to cherish his memories his father, Earl Jeffries of Yanceyville, NC; a brother Earl Jeffries, Jr. of Durham, NC; a godson, Travis and a goddaughter Skyler: uncles; aunts; cousins and friends.
Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the American Cremation Center, 1204 Person St., Durham, NC. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. .
Second funeral services for Mr. Everette Jerome Jeffries will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021, 12:30 p.m. at High Rock Community Center, 103 John Long Road, Blanch, NC., with viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 Noon. Interment will follow in Hamer Baptist Church Cemetery, Blanch, NC.
