Delois Lean Williamson Graves Scroggins was granted her angel wings on Saturday, September 26, 2020.  Her final day were spent surrounded by family members that DeLois had touched in many ways during her lifetime, yet memorable life.

Delois Scroggins was born on February 8, 1935 to the late Mary and Taz Williamson in Caswell, North Carolina. She worked in Washington, DC as a healthcare provider for many years. Upon retirement, she returned to her hometown Mebane, North Carolina to be with her family and friends. After on-going health issue, she moved back to Washington, DC, where the sunset on her life. She was a faithful member at Burton Chapel Church in Mebane. Delois loved to read the bible, complete crossword puzzles and chat on the phone with family and friends. She was known by many as the cake/pie lady. If you were in her presence, she would always share encouraging words, a story, scripture or tell you “GOD told her” a message for you.

Siblings: Grace Sellars (late), Mattie Wright (late), Napoleon Williamson (late), Martha Lee (late), Commis Williamson (late), James Williamson (late), Sarah Porterfield (late), James Author Williamson (late), Josephine Williamson (late), Clarence Williamson(late), June Williamson (late), and  Clemiton Miles (late).

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in her children: Eloise McCray, Emmett Graves (Barbara), Derrick Graves (Margaret), and Archie Graves; grandchildren: Candy Simon, Freddie Benjamin, Shanice Wade, Shawn Graves, Ditra Graves, Meagan Graves, Michelle Graves, Tanika Crossen, Jennifer Dumas, Tonya Graves, Leon Graves, and Jeremiah Graves; great grandchildren: Sade Simon, Bella Miles, Camille Nazzal, Chantelle Nazzal, Brian Benjamin Jr., Faith Benjamin, McKenzie Roseby, McKayden Roseby, Elam Roseby, Joshua Cassell, Shauntrese Graves, Anthony Graves, Shawn Graves Jr., Tishawn Graves, Leia Graves, Laila Graves, Eric Dumas, Alexander Dumas and Nathaniel Dumas; godchildren: Mark Thompson, Linda Thompson, Bobby Thompson, Ricky Thompson, Pamela Thompson, Retha Macon, Billy Thompson, and Kenny Thompson. A host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends that she loved dearly.

Special Friends: Catherine Stadler, Anne Mae June, Patricia Porterfield (niece).

Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak a viewing will be Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home with a limit of 10 people at a time. 

 (Per CDC Guidelines:  Facial Masks are required).

Graveside Services for Mrs. Delois Lean Williamson Graves Scroggins will be Sunday, October 4, 2020, 11:00 a.m. in the Burton's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Mebane, North Carolina.  (Caswell County)
