Coye Bigelow Stewart

Milton, NC - It is with profound sorrow we announce the death of Ms. Coye Bigelow Stewart of 2194 Yarboroughs Mill Rd. Milton, NC, who passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the residence  of her daughter 281 Oakwood Circle Danville, VA..

She was a native of Caswell County, NC, the daughter of the late Lula Bigelow McCain, born February 11, 1937. She was a member of High Rock Baptist Church, where she was a member of the missionary circle, senior choir, pastor's aid and kitchen committee.

She was a employee of GKN in Roxboro before retirement.

She was married to Willie Stewart who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Temekia Holmes; two sisters, Mable Trapp and Janice Richmond.

Her survivors are four sons, Phillip Stewart of Danville, VA, Carl Stewart of Danville, VA., Gerald Stewart of Milton, NC and Randy Stewart ( Sarah ) of Chatham, VA.; four daughters, Alicia Stewart of Danville, VA., Debra Stewart of Milton, NC, Jean Elkin ( Rick ) of Danville, VA., and Patricia Stewart of Burlington, NC; five sisters, Sherrill Barrett of Blanch, NC, Ponzelle Mebane of Burlington, NC, Phyllis Poteat ( Larry ) of Blanch, NC, Virginia Jeffries ( Colin ) of Graham, NC and Gloria Amos ( Jennings ) Greensboro, NC; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

A  viewing will be Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM in the John &  Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.

(Per CDC Guidelines: Facial Masks are required).

Funeral Services for Ms. Coye Bigelow Stewart will be Friday, September 16, 2022 1:00 PM at the High Rock Baptist Church, Blanch NC. with visitation from 12:30 to 1:00 pm before funeral service.  Pastor Henry Long to deliver the words of comfort.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
